DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Identifying the needs for drugs and equipment and preparing its budget.
ii. Ordering, purchasing, storing, and distributing drugs and medical equipment at the workplace.
iii. Keeping records of drugs.
iv. Preparing a list of hospital drugs (Hospital Formulary) for use at the workplace.
v. Dispensing drugs and medical equipment to patients.
vi. Supervising the proper use of drugs.
vii. Compounding drugs for use at the workplace.
viii. Inspecting drug stores in the private sector.
ix. Reporting adverse drug reactions.
x. Serving as the secretary of the Hospital Therapeutic Committee at the workplace.
xi. Educating subordinates, other health sector employees, and the community about the proper use of drugs.
xii. Supervising the implementation of the National Drug Policy at the workplace.
xiii. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Employed individuals with a Pharmacy degree from a government-recognized institution who have completed a one-year practical training (Internship) and are registered with the Pharmacy Council.
