DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Performing all hospital medical tasks related to various diseases in the relevant field.
ii. Teaching students in health colleges within their work area.
iii. Investigating, monitoring, and preventing disease outbreaks.
iv. Preparing continuing education for health workers.
v. Teaching and guiding subordinates.
vi. Supervising subordinates.
vii. Conducting and evaluating research and disseminating results.
viii. Designing and preparing strategies to improve the quality of service in their field.
ix. Providing outreach services in the region.
x. Providing medical legal services.
xi. Participating in the formulation and implementation of Government health policies and plans.
xii. Advising the ministry on the management of health activities in the country.
xiii. Participating in the medical board committee for the retirement of employees due to health problems.
xiv. Preparing curricula for the continuing education of health workers.
xv. Preparing health service plans and budget estimates.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Hiring individuals with a Master’s Degree in Medical Specialization or a PhD in Surgery from recognized universities by the Government. Must be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
