First Batch of Loans Released
The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) has announced today, Friday, October 24, 2025, the first phase of loan and scholarship allocations for a total of 135,240 students. The breakdown of these recipients is as follows:
- Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students: A total of 40,952 undergraduate students and 5,342 postgraduate students have been awarded loans amounting to TZS 152 billion.
- Samia Scholarship Recipients: 615 students have been granted scholarships totaling TZS 3.3 billion.
- Continuing Students: 88,331 continuing students who passed their previous year exams have been allocated loans worth TZS 271.2 billion.
HESLB will continue to release further batches of loans and scholarships as it receives admission confirmations from first-year students and exam results from continuing students.
Applicants are reminded to regularly check their application status through the ‘SIPA’ system while the loan and scholarship review process is ongoing.
