DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Performing all hospital medical duties related to various diseases in the relevant field.
ii. Teaching students in health colleges within their work area.
iii. Investigating, monitoring, and preventing disease outbreaks.
iv. Preparing continuing education for health workers.
v. Teaching and directing subordinate staff.
vi. Supervising subordinate workers.
vii. Conducting and evaluating research and disseminating results.
viii. Designing and preparing strategies to improve the quality of services in their field.
ix. Providing outreach services in the region.
x. Providing medical legal services.
xi. Participating in the development and supervision of the implementation of Government health policies and plans.
xii. Advising the ministry on the management of health activities in the country.
xiii. Participating in the medical board committee for retiring employees due to health issues.
xiv. Preparing continuing education curricula for health staff.
xv. Preparing plans and budget estimates for health services.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Employment for those with a Master’s Degree in Specialist Medicine or a PhD in the field of Internal Medicine from universities recognized by the Government. Must be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
