DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Perform all hospital medical duties related to various diseases within the relevant field.
ii. Teach students in health colleges within their work area.
iii. Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
iv. Prepare continuing education for health workers.
v. Teach and guide subordinates.
vi. Supervise subordinates in design.
vii. Conduct and evaluate research and disseminate results.
viii. Design and prepare strategies to improve the quality of service in their field.
ix. Provide outreach services in the region.
x. Provide medical legal services.
xi. Participate in developing and overseeing the implementation of Government Health Policies and Plans.
xii. Advise the ministry on the management of health activities in the country.
xiii. Participate in the medical board committee for retirement of employees due to health problems.
xiv. Prepare continuing education curricula for health workers.
xv. Prepare health service plans and budget estimates.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Employment for those with a Master’s Degree in Medical Specialty or PhD in Women’s Diseases from government-recognized universities. They must be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
