DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Perform all medical duties in the hospital related to various diseases in the relevant field.
ii. Teach students in health colleges within their work area.
iii. Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
iv. Prepare continuing education for health workers.
v. Teach and guide subordinate staff.
vi. Supervise subordinate staff.
vii. Conduct and evaluate research and disseminate findings.
viii. Design and prepare strategies to improve the quality of services in their field.
ix. Provide outreach services in the region.
x. Provide medical legal services.
xi. Participate in the development and management of government health policies and plans.
xii. Advise the ministry on the management of health activities in the country.
xiii. Participate in the medical board committee for the retirement of employees due to health issues.
xiv. Prepare curricula for the continuing education of health workers.
xv. Prepare plans and budget estimates for health services.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a Master’s Degree in Medical Specialization or a PhD in Ear, Nose, and Throat Medicine from recognized universities. Must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
