DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Performing all medical duties in the hospital related to oral and dental diseases.
ii. Providing and managing oral and dental health education.
iii. Improving oral and dental health in his/her work area and community.
iv. Filling/repairing teeth, surgery, dental fabrication, correcting jaws (orthodontics).
v. Supervising subordinates.
vi. Examining, monitoring, and preventing disease outbreaks.
vii. Teaching students in health colleges within his/her work area.
viii. Designing and conducting research and disseminating results.
ix. Designing and preparing strategies to improve the quality of services in his/her field.
x. Preparing plans and budget estimates for oral and dental health services.
xi. Participating, reviewing, and improving health services.
xii. Providing outreach services in his/her district/region.
xiii. Keeping statistics and using them as directed in the principles of MTUHA.
xiv. Planning and evaluating oral and dental health services in the work area.
xv. Conducting research in various areas of oral and dental health.
xvi. Performing other duties assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience, and skills.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Employed individuals with a degree in dental surgery from government-recognized institutions who have completed “Internship” and are registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
