DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Identify, prepare, and order the necessary medicines and medical supplies in their work area.
ii. Distribute medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff.
iii. Compound medicines.
iv. Store medicines and medical supplies.
v. Educate the community on the proper use of medicines.
vi. Inspect medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents, and cosmetics in their work area.
vii. Report adverse effects resulting from the use of medicines.
viii. Coordinate the work of the hospital’s drug committee.
ix. Prepare reports on the usage of medicines and medical supplies.
x. Conduct quality tests on medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents, and cosmetics.
xi. Perform various inspections in areas where medicines are stored.
xii. Supervise the work performance of subordinate staff.
xiii. Maintain records of medicines and medical supplies.
xiv. Perform other duties as assigned by their superior related to their education, experience, and skills.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Employment for those with a Diploma in Pharmacy Technology from a Government-recognized institution, registered with the Pharmacy Council.
