DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Provide advice and oversee the best methods for the supply of clean and safe water and waste disposal.
ii. Educate the community on ways to prevent and combat disease outbreaks.
iii. Collect and analyze environmental health statistics.
iv. Oversee the implementation of laws related to environmental health.
v. Prepare implementation reports and submit them to the relevant authorities.
vi. Develop and monitor strategies to improve and manage workplace safety and health.
vii. Inspect health at ports and borders.
viii. Coordinate and inspect food, water, chemicals, industries, workplaces, and community areas.
ix. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor related to his/her education, experience, and skills.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Employment for those with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health Sciences and on-the-job training from a recognized institution by the Government and registered with the Environmental Health Professionals Board.
